Prom Spending Climbs for a Second Straight Year, Nationwide Average $1,139
As Americans continue to find ways to cut personal expenses, one area where they are not willing to cut is prom spending. A new survey released by Visa Inc. shows that consumers will spend an average of $1,139 this year on prom, a 5% increase over last year. Spending is highest in the Northeast with consumers spending $1,528 this year. In the Midwest consumers plan to spend $722. Read more
